CALL FOR PAPERS
The
NIGERBIBLIOS
- an official journal of the National Library of Nigeria hereby
invites articles from scholars, researchers and informed members of
the public for publication in the
NIGERBIBLIOS.
Nigerbiblios will welcome submissions from Librarians, Information
Scientists, Documentalists, Academics and Researchers in the Library
and Information Science profession, provided such articles, research
reports or book reviews submitted are in line with current trends and
practices. Only original manuscripts not previously submitted
elsewhere for publication should be sent.
SCOPE
Articles to be published will have to be of interest to librarians,
researchers, administrators, lectures information scientist students
etc. Articles on all aspects of library and information science will
be considered.
FORM OF SUBMISSION
Electronic copy: The electronic version of the manuscript not more
than 15 pages, double spaced on A4 paper leaving a 5 cm margin and
typed only on one side of paper, using 12 points font size should be
submitted. All pages should be numbered consecutively.
Authors are to include a
removable cover page showing full name(s) and address(es) of author(s)
including email and phone number (if available).
Title of article, which should be very clear and concise, should be on
the first page of the actual text followed by a 150 word abstract
stating the following:
* Background and purpose of the study or papers;
* Methods used, including description of subjects,
research materials and analytical methods;
* The main findings and the conclusions.
Tables and Figures:
All accompanying illustrations, e.g. Tables, figures, artwork should
be numbered consecutively as they appear on the text. Their position
in the article should be clearly stated.
Copyright:
Where
applicable, permissions for extensive use of copyright from the
original author should also be included. Authors of manuscripts
accepted for publication must transfer copyright to the National
Library of Nigeria.
Correspondence with authors:
As much as possible, communication with Authors should be via email at
all times.
Assessment:
All manuscripts will be subjected to assessment by at least two or
more assessors. Acceptance will be based on the quality, style,
relevance, originality, clarity and significance of manuscript
relative to the library and information practices. To facilitate
anonymous and unbiased assessment, authors should include a blind
title page (without the author's name) - after the real title page.
Notwithstanding the result of the assessment, the editorial Board
reserves the right to make final decision regarding the suitability of
materials for publication.
Reference
All
references to other publications should be in American psychological
Association style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy and
consistency. End references should be listed in alphabetical order.
Only manuscripts that conform to all the guidelines given above
will be considered for assessment and possible publication.
